BylerCraft and Furniture began in Whiteville, TN in 1987 when Byler family moved with their young family from Ohio. As it happens, the Bylers are Mennonites, and were inspired to move to Whiteville by a love and respect Ray and his family had formed with members of the local Whiteville Mennonite community and church. Further incentive for the move was that Ray’s parents were part of the local Whiteville Mennonites are known for a “hard work” and “quality matters” ethos. The “If it is worth doing, then it is worth doing well” attitude is embedded and recognizable in every item that comes out of the shop at Byler’s Woodcraft. In short, hard work, quality craftsmanship, and high customer satisfaction are the character traits of BylerCraft. Ray believes the ancient adage that says, “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.” When Ray gives his word or his hand, then you have his bond. Besides building custom cabinets and furniture, Ray had a dream of retailing furniture. This became a reality for the Bylers in 2004. They are currently displaying a 3,000 ft. area of furniture. The furniture displayed is not only made by the Bylers, but also by the Amish people; and is handcrafted out of solid wood.
You are invited to come see their displays. You’ll find some Contemporary, Shaker, Mission, and Old World pieces. Its not limited to what you will see in the show room; this is only a small portion of what’s available. So come and see the work, the craftsmanship, and browse. The Bylers will be more than delighted to assist you with your household furnishings; built to compliment your home, and with heirloom quality.
